Annual vaccinations have and continue to play a crucial role in disease prevention in pets. In Carnarvon especially, viruses such a parvovirus in dogs, and feline aids and cat flu in cats, are particularly prevalent. Our hospital once had 14 dogs in isolated intensive care at the same time that all had parvovirus!

It is essential to have your puppy or kitten vaccinated starting from 6-8 weeks of age. Until their full first set of vaccinations are administered by our veterinarians, it is crucial to keep your pet away from other non vaccinated animals and public places where other pets have been.

As adults, pet's need vaccination yearly to help maintain proper immunity.
