Orthopaedic Surgery

Orthopaedic surgery relates to any operation involving bones or joints. This includes things like fracture repair, ligament and tendon repair, ACL cruciate rupture surgery, hip surgery and more.

Our veterinarians' high level of expertise and our hospitals' fully equipped surgery suite allows us to perform simple and more complicated orthopaedic procedures at our practice, including:

  • Cranial cruciate ligament repair
  • Fracture (broken bone) repair
  • Bone pinning
  • Patella luxation surgery (dislocating knee caps)
  • Amputations for severe injuries or bone cancer cases
  • Ligament and tendon repair
  • Arthrodesis (the fusing of a joint to eliminate pain)
  • Bone grafts
  • Surgery for developmental disease such as removing cartilage fragments in the joints of young growing animals due to OCD.

Our veterinarians are capable of performing full orthopaedic and neurologic exams to help give you the best advice and treatment options for your pet. We can also offer orthopaedic referal to a specialist for those extra tricky cases.
