Joint Guard Powder for Cats 100g
Joint health supplement for cats.
Why is Joint Guard for Cats unique?
Joint Guard is a nutritional supplement that has been developed using purified ingredients clinically proven at this exact dose and ratio to be effective in the treatment of joint problems due to arthritic conditions, injury or general wear and tear.
IMPORTANT! Joint Guard for Cats is the ONLY arthritis product approved for use in cats by the Australian Pesticide and Veterinary Medicines Authority.
Joint Guard for Cats not only contains highly potent Glucosamine hydrochloride and Chondroitin sulfate that you would find in human arthritis products, but it is formulated using a dose specific to cats that has been clinically tested to ensure the product is safe. The formulation also contains MSM (Methyl Sulfonyl Methane) a natural sulphur-based ingredient that has been shown to help reduce the pain associated with inflammation, at the right dose for cats.
It is important not to substitute Joint Guard for Cats with human arthritis products as these products do not contain the active ingredients at the correct ratio for cats. For example oversupplementation of Glucosamine has been suspected of causing Feline Diabetes.
You will find that Joint Guard for Cats is actually as cost-effective as human arthritis products and readily available through your vet, pet store or online. Plus you can be sure that you are giving your cat a safe and proven ratio of Glucosamine and Chondroitin sulfate.
How does it work?
Joint Guard for Cats is an innovative formula containing the key ingredients that have been shown to work together to support and maintain the health of your cat’s joints.
Glucosamine hydrochloride – a key nutrient that acts as the building block of cartilage to help reconstruct the damaged joints, as well as keeping the remaining cartilage cells healthy and functioning properly. The glucosamine found in Joint Guard is guaranteed to be 99% pure, so you can be assured your cat is getting the best possible human-grade source.
Chondroitin sulfate – a major component of normal cartilage and also blocks the enzymes that break down cartilage cells. This is a unique easy-to-absorb form of Chondroitin sulfate so your cat gets the maximum available dose. Without the correct dose of Chondroitin sulfate the arthritic enzymes will continue to destroy the cartilage, making it essential to only purchase a product for your cat that contains the proven ratio.
Joint Guard also contains other ingredients such as MSM which acts as a natural anti-inflammatory to help ease the pain associated with arthritis and a unique blend of vitamins and minerals which act as important co-factors to help maintain healthy bone and cartilage.
Dosage and Administration
Each cat’s needs will differ, so the dosing information should be used as a guide only.
During the initial treatment period you need to give your cat the highest recommended dose for their weight. Once you have noticed a good sustained response, then you can begin to reduce the dose to find the most economical amount which keeps your cat comfortable.
Each level scoop contains 0.625g of Joint Guard for Cats powder.
Refer to the label for more detailed information on dosing.
How long does it take to work?
Joint Guard is not a drug, but a natural nutritional supplement, so it may take some time before you notice a significant improvement in your cat.
An initial treatment period of 4-6 weeks at the maximum dose is recommended to ‘load up’ your cat's joints with optimal levels of the Glucosamine and Chondroitin sulfate. Once the loading dose has been acheived, you only need to 'top up' that dose every day with a smaller amount. Your pack of Joint Guard for Cats will help you work out the best dose for your cat based on his/her weight, or talk to your vet as each cat's needs can be different.
Are there any side effects?
Joint Guard contains natural ingredients that have an excellent safety profile, with studies in cats demonstrating no adverse effects on the liver, kidney, or other organs.
Some cats may initially experience a mild gastrointestinal upset such as that which occurs when switching foods, but this should subside over time. If this does not subside, see your Veterinarian for advice.
