1. Petrek GPS Collar. RRP $279. Discounted preorder price: NOW $250

The Petrek GPS Pet Tracker is an amazing new product unique in Australia that comes with an easy to use free phone App that turns your phone into a high-tech pet tracking device. Simply feed your pet's collar throught the device for easy attachment.

You can receive location updates at any interval you want from every 30 seconds to once daily. And you can even keep a history of where your pet has been for any day of the year.

If you are using an Android phone you can also use the App to set a virtual boundary around your property. You will then receive a text or a phone alert to tell you as soon as your dog or cat leaves

the property!

The Petrek GPS Pet Tracker has a pre-fitted mobile phone SIM card … you just need to top up the credit as required for the very small amount of data it uses.

The battery life will depend on how many features you are running and how often you are getting location updates. But it only takes 30 minutes to recharge (USB or 240V) so just detach the tracker from your pet’s collar when you come home at night and quickly recharge it for another 24 hours of use. Generally one charge will last a few days.

The Petrek GPS Pet Tracker is IP55 rated ...weatherproof and waterproof to the degree of withstanding splashing, spraying etc but not designed for complete submersion.

And it fits securely on just about any collar or harness!!

2. Pet Finder Multi (includes 2 tags). RRP $169. Discounted preorder price: NOW $150

The PetFinder Multi is a radiofrequency device that you can use to track up to 4 pets a distance of 500 metres away. The base unit comes with 2 tags (attach one tag to each pet) with splash proof silicone cases that attach to your pet's collar.

With Proximity Alarm as a standard feature you will be alerted before your pet strays too far. In the unfortunate case of losing sight of your pet, the PetFinder Multi can help track your pet within a range of up to 500 metres. Simply take the finder with you and start walking around the areas you feel your pet might have wandered to and allow the PetFinder Multi remote unit to help you walk in the right direction. The closer you get to your pet, the faster and higher pitched the PetFinder Multi remote will sound while a green light will flash if it detects a strong direct location signal. If you are out of range, simply keep walking at different areas, if within the 500m range it will re-connect to give you an idea of which direction your pet might be.

The remote unit offers you one simple button which you can press to track your pet. Or switch to mute on the remote and find your pet by the subtle beeps coming from the tag on their collar when they are out of sight or hidden.

Benefits:

• Helps to prevent pet loss by alerting the owner as soon as a pet escapes
• Helps you track down your pet or up to 4 pets before they stray too far
• Directional tracking to guide you in the right direction
• Water Splash Resistant Case for outdoor activities
• Sleep Mode for longer battery life (up to 3 months)
• Easily attaches to most collars including a velcro strap for larger collar fittings

Important Note:

Tracking range will vary depending on the surrounding environment. Concrete walls, aluminium sheets etc. can cause interference to Radio Frequency signals. In most cases the best way to track down your pet with the PetFinder Multi is by listening for the beeping emitted by the tag. Direct line of sight between remote and tag works up to 500 metres but tests in heavily built-up city areas can lead to maximum reliability ranges of 300-400 metres.

This tracker is designed to help prevent your pet from straying too far and you must react when the proximity alarm turns on as it is not recommended to be used as a long range tracker. Lintek and any of its agents and retailers do not take any responsibility if your pet is lost and is not found while using any of these trackers.

3. Pet Finder LR. RRP $95.  Discounted preorder price: NOW $85

The PetFinder LR is like the Pet Finder Multi, in that it is a new radio-frequency pet finder consisting of a tracking remote for the owner and a transmitter tag that easily attaches onto your pet’s collar. However this tag is smaller in size than previous versions and has a cute bow-tie engraved on the tag which will come in a silicone case allowing you to attach it onto most small collars with ease. The new PetFinder LR tracking remote gives you one simple button which you can press to track your pet or hold to mute the remote and find your pet by the subtle beeps coming from the tag on the collar.

Proximity Alarm feature: With two distance alert detection settings to choose from you are able to set the alerting distance at either 50metres or 100metres.(+/- 10m depending on surrounding terrain, houses, walls, hills etc as these factors can block frequency strength)
When your pet wanders away past the selected distance alert setting, you will get a warning alarm alerting you to check for your pet's location.

If, in the unfortunate case of losing sight of your pet, the PetFinder can track your pet down to a range of up to 300m by showing the strongest transmitter signal as you walk and search areas that you feel your pet might have wandered to. Note: on a direct line of sight the PetFinder may work up to 300metres but we have tested in many city areas with varying surroundings and found that 200metres is the maximum reliable tracking range for the PetFinder LR if there are many buildings or trees blocking line of sight.

The tag on the pet’s collar also produces a warning bell when out of sight. If you get close enough to your pet, you can hold the main button and listen for a nearby beep coming from the collar.

This collar beep can also be useful for and popular with dog trainers to train dogs to stop and sit using the collar's alarm trigger. It may also be useful in training dogs out of difficult to solve issues such as barking, digging or inappropriate marking.

Note:Tracking range can vary depending on surrounding environment. Concrete walls, aluminium sheets etc can cause interference on Radio Frequency signals. In most cases the best way to track down your pet with the PetFinder LR is by listening for sound coming from the tag. This tracker is designed to prevent your pet from going too far and you must react when the proximity alarm turns on as it is not recommended to be used as a long range tracker. Lintek and any of it’s agents and retailers do not take any responsibility if your pet is lost and is not found with any of these trackers.
